Must… sleep…

Last Updated on September 30, 2010 by Dave Farquhar

Video editing melted my brain. My project is so close to being done I can taste it. My brain is dead tired but my body wants to keep on going–it’s used to playing softball doubleheaders Thursday nights, after all, and nobody told it the season’s over–so I’m sitting here listening to Joe Jackson and typing this.
I find I can’t watch TV for enjoyment anymore. Any time I watch (which amounts to minutes per week), I spend the whole time trying to figure out how you’d do the same thing in Premiere. It’s no great loss though. I haven’t been able to watch TV for enjoyment–aside from a Royals game or the World Series–since Quantum Leap went off the air. That was nine years ago.

I see from my karma on my short posts these past couple of weeks that I’ll have to hire an assistant to keep someone happy, since there’s not enough time for an 8-hour workday, an hour in traffic, five hours working on my video project, an hour returning phone calls and going through mail, an hour or so fixing something to eat and cleaning up afterward, and an hour or so goofing off just to keep my sanity (hey, I’m entitled to spend some time reading about airplanes and about my Royals, am I not?) doesn’t leave enough time to write lengthy tomes.

Then again, I guess I could just keep posting short stuff when I’m busy so everyone knows I am indeed still alive and just ignore the jerk.

    I think I’ll do that. It’s a lot cheaper.

Okay by me. I enjoy your writing when you find the time but like to know you’re still here when you don’t have the time/inclination.

    Never used karma.
I read your posts weather they are long or short.
Here is a backlog of karma I owe you!

    🙂
