I apologize that there isn’t much time left, but for what’s left of March 21, you can snag a Samsung 830 SSD from Newegg for $140.
It’s the best deal I’ve seen on a highly regarded modern SSD.
I don’t have personal experience with this drive yet, but I’ve ordered mine. Every review I’ve seen has been overwhelmingly positive. Most telling: Its random write speed clocks in at 100 megabytes per second, which isn’t much slower than the sustained sequential read speeds of many conventional HDDs. That’s what an SSD does worst, versus what an HDD does best. If you have a SATA 3 bus to connect it to, the Samsung 830 can deliver over 400 MB per second in sequential reads.
