Agreed on the networking, for exactly the same reason. I’m working on a writeup on used options, since the top of the line model from a couple of years back is still really good. There are some old models with networking that are really cheap now but they’re a bit underpowered.

I know what you mean on the buttons. My remote has a button for a service that doesn’t even exist anymore. That looks like another good idea for things for me to look into.

The one serious pet peeve I have about Roku is those stupid dedicated buttons to services I don’t use. I wish they had made them programmable. I would love to hack a work-around for the buttons.
