98% Ubuntu for me at the office; if I need to log into the accounting software or one particular vendor’s website I fire up WinXp in VirtualBox.

And while I've never been burned running a Firefox release ending in .0, the speed at which .01 releases appear suggests that people who like to be more cautious ought to wait for the .01 release before upgrading. 7.01 fixed a rare issue, but it wouldn't be minor if it happened to you.

Running Ubuntu alongside Windows in a VM is one of my projects on my to-do list. I want to do more with Linux than I have been lately.

I used this for six and it automatically kicked up to seven (and this morning to 7.01). Basically, the ppa version is kept at stable and Firefox updates outside the package manager.
