I wanna blow bubbles! https://dfarq.homeip.net/i-wanna-blow-bubbles/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=i-wanna-blow-bubbles https://dfarq.homeip.net/i-wanna-blow-bubbles/#comments Tue, 07 Sep 2010 02:10:05 +0000 https://dfarq.homeip.net/?p=1908 My oldest son's obsession is blowing bubbles. If he's awake, it's what he wants to do. If he doesn't want to do something, offering to let him blow bubbles if he does that something often works.

The trouble is that an 8 ounce bottle lasts him about an hour and costs between 75 cents and a dollar. That can make for an expensive 3-day weekend, unless you make it yourself.

Waterslide decal tips and tricks https://dfarq.homeip.net/waterslide-decal-tricks/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=waterslide-decal-tricks Tue, 24 Mar 2009 01:38:30 +0000 https://dfarq.homeip.net/?p=1818 The one time I remember hurting my Dad's feelings was when we were building a model. We were applying decals, and we could never get them to stay on the model for long. I observed that when I built a model with my uncle, he didn't have that problem.

"He's better at it than I am," he said. I nodded. "You didn't have to agree with that, you know," he added.

How to clean up your computer before you sell it https://dfarq.homeip.net/how-to-clean-up-your-computer-before-you-sell-it/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=how-to-clean-up-your-computer-before-you-sell-it Sun, 21 Sep 2008 01:34:21 +0000 https://dfarq.homeip.net/?p=1777 I went to a huge garage sale this morning. I walked home with a 7-year-old Dell 15" LCD monitor. What I paid for it wouldn't buy lunch for my wife and me. When I got it home and saw how well it worked, I felt guilty.

So if you're thinking of selling some computer equipment, take my tips (as someone who attends literally thousands of garage sales every year) for getting decent money for it.

So I started keeping an eye out. A month or two ago I spotted one at an estate sale, but everything was wrong about that deal.

Today, I pulled the trigger.

This past week I started to put it together.

I'm doing things differently this time.
