I agree, Evapo-rust is much better than vinegar for cleaning track. Fewer bad side effects and everything else. I think I know where the current obsession with using vinegar came from, and the cool kid on Youtube who started it didn’t explain it very well so I figured I’d explain how to make the best of it, for those who’ve made up their mind that’s what they’re going to use.

Vinegar works great in my coffee maker and microwave and toilet, regardless.

I left the track soak for 3 days due to its condition. One thing to watch for, along with the rust, all of the paint on the ties also came off. Wasn’t what I was expecting. Second time around I used Evapo-rust with much favorable results. 3 day soak also with no paint loss. No more vinegar for me.
