When your dad and I got married, I bought him a beautiful pocket watch at Dolgin’s. And my brother, sisters and I bought a mother’s ring for Granny there, too. I think both the old store and the newer one were on Burlington. The old store was tiny; the parking lot held about 12 cars. I think it was just a little bit south of Armour road. Then they moved to a big store–many times the size of the old one. It was north on Burlington, nearly to Water Works Park. After Dolgin’s closed, it was a pet store and a license center. I’m pretty sure it’s empty now.
