The floor he worked on was one story below the catalog shipping area and you could hear the roller skates they used in that department through the ceiling. He was on the road supervising construction or remodeling of stores most of the time, but I still remember going to his office during Christmas shopping time. He also designed the double spiral parking garage that was built next to the store.
