I have been having a heck of a time since the upgrade. My system "blinks" out at random. 1) is Viking considered a name brand? 2) does the problem I’m describing sound like a RAM error, or is it another part of my system?

Since you and have been building systems together, the most important thing is good memory. Other wise, you have a system that runs crappy, and crashes every ten minutes. That’s probalby one big reason why people have so many problems with their boxes blue screening on them. I don’t even want to know what type of memory is hiding in all those Best Bait and Switch computers.
