It was the first time the center moved across the Mississippi River. Guess that westward expansion has some truth to it. 🙂

I enjoyed reading the linked post which is about the house and how the family lived together. Reminds me of village life in India. Very similar, especially how close everyone lives day to day. Private life is public and people are close, in all ways.
