If you are cutting a large amount of pipe, you can get a ratcheting pipe cutter that looks like a vise grip with a blade instead of jaws. They usually start at less than $10.

Cut a very short piece of pipe to couple them, dry fit them and mark with a Sharpie. Glue them up in any order that gets it all to fit. This provides a great deal of flexibility when lining things up.
