I was the guy, along with Harry Pyle, that invented ARCNET, and in my ten years or so at Datapoint, I don’t remember ever SEEING a floppy drive, and there was certainly no though of using them with ARCNET! Yet that line appears all over the Internet. I would love to know where it originated- do you have any idea? Do you remember where you first heard it?
