I'm an author and systems administrator by trade, with one published book and dozens, if not hundreds, of published magazine and newspaper articles to my credit.
Currently I support servers running Windows NT4/2K/2K3 and Linux in a professional capacity. I've been working professionally one way or another in the computer field since I was 19. I have built several hundred PCs by hand and have performed hardware upgrades on more than 2,000 PCs.
In other interests, I'm a huge Kansas City Royals fan. I enjoy video editing, writing of all sorts, and playing softball. I'm a former member of the board of directors at my church and I've been co-leading a small-group Bible study for the past four years. Some interests that I've recently rediscovered are Lionel and Marx toy trains and geneaology (I've traced one branch of my tree back more than 80 generations). |
